A food dating back to ancient times, flour is one of the basic elements of human nutrition for its balanced carbohydrate, protein, fat and mineral content.
|
It is used everywhere wheat grows in the form of porridge, tortillas or bread. In an effort to respect the food traditions of each African country, the SOMDIAA Group offers a wide selection of products.
The most widely used flour is wheat flour. Different types of wheat flour are available according to its use:
- Bread flours are essentially limited to baguette production (such as the Le Coq brand in Gabon).
- Doughnut flours are used for the production of Gato brand doughnuts in Gabon as an example and the DUO in Cameroun.
- Viennese pastry flours are used for Panthère brand Viennese pastries in Gabon as an example.
- Household and pastry flours are designed for home use.
As for the traditional production market, the SOMDIAA Group is committed to supplying cost-efficient and effective products. To that end, the Group developed a line of special application flours.
From that perspective, the SOMDIAA Group offers a selection of ready-to-use flour mixes aimed at facilitating special bread preparation:
- Kebab breads
- Rye breads
- Whole wheat breads
- French country style breads
- Multi-grain breads
